Hello, I’m currently a College Prep Scholar but I pretty much screwed up my GPA during junior year (extenuating circumstances). My GPA is relatively low (3.5UW) but I take the hardest courses (All APs and IBs) and have strong test scores, ECs, and essays (from CPS). Are there cases where a CPS gets rejected from the NCM? I know being a CPS has a higher chance of being NCM but if my GPA is that as mentioned above, do you think QB will not accept me for NCM?
Being a CPS does not guarantee you a spot as a NCM, but I think the majority do (as you mentioned). First of all, your GPA isn’t so low that they wouldn’t consider you (remember that there’s no minimum!). Second, keep in mind that there is an additional info section that is meant for you to explain your extenuating circumstances, so don’t worry too much about your GPA!!
