Nvm I had the wrong formula…</p>

<p>The key to this question is understanding the concept of “inversely proportional to x”. Inversely proportional generally means 1/x. However in this equation when you set:</p>

<p>6 = 1/3 the answer doesn’t make any sense. Thus you need to set the numerator to be a different variable. I chose “k”.</p>

<p>6 = k/3
k = 18</p>

<p>y = k/x
y = 18/2
y = 9</p>
