My daughter is on track to take a mixture of IB HL certificates (English and art) and APs (AB Calc and statistics), as well as a couple of honors courses (Spanish 4 and philosophy) senior year (she’s currently a junior). Most of the UK universities seem to want wither the IB diploma or 3 APs. Does anyone know if an IB HL will be considered instead of an AP? She’s particularly interested in Oxford, Edinburgh and Durham.

This is one of those questions where there is no clear cut answers, and so your best option will be to email the admissions departments of the relevant universities.

However, your daughter should do this, not you. If she can’t be bothered to email them, then she won’t be bothered to do the work. If you email, it will reflect badly on her.

It depends on the uni and the course so I agree your daughter should email admissions and ask. Note that only relevant qualifications will be considered. So if applying for Physics for example, HL art probably not going to count for anything.
