Qualified Applicant Rejected from All Schools

You got accepted to Notre Dame with a FULL RIDE. Do you realize how ungrateful you are sounding, especially considering your history? Notre Dame is one of the best universities in the country and you are going their for free. You should be celebrating instead of mulling over rejections.

And whoever helped you with your college list is pretty bad at it. None of your ‘safety’ schools are safeties except for American (yeah, surprised you got denied there). Safety schools are schools you are well qualified for academically and are SURE you will be accepted to. With a 2140 SAT and 3.85 GPA, none of those schools except for american are close to being a safety.

Some people here are really mean…Can we tone it down a little bit? I think OP has heard enough bashing. How would you feel if he sunk back into his depression.

I’m not saying you should baby the OP, but try and understand where he’s coming from. I don’t think he’s at all disgusted with Notre Dame, just shocked at his rejections.

I’m sorry for everything that has happened to you. Just to let you know how amazing of a school you’re going to… our class valedictorian with perfect credentials got rejected, amongst others. And I think after all the posts you know that your safeties were not safeties.

I know what it feels like to be unsettled at a school that you felt was a “last resort,” but you owe it to yourself and everything you have gone through to try your best to adjust to the school. You do not realize the prestige of Notre Dame, it is incredible that you got a full scholarship. It is nationally ranked, and just under Ivy league. You have to adjust your standards or you will feel irrevocably unsatisfied with your school. Sometimes talking to someone helps sort out those feelings.

Good luck at ND.

OP,
How about an update ? Are you enjoying Notre Dame? I hope you have changed your attitude since your initial post.

N0 no no NOOO! This thread does NOT need to make a comeback!
