Queen Ethelburga's College?

Has anyone heard about this school? Is it good? Bad?

From what I’ve read on the site, everything looks amazing except the tuition fees. However, I looked on a different site that told a bit more about the College, and they said it was absolutely awful.

Basically, I’d like more information about this school :)

Great school --fif thinks William F. Buckley went there.

Hmm…check this thread on this forum:

[Horse and Hound Online Forum: Queen Ethelburga’s College](http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/3847016/page/0/fpart/1/vc/1)

This College has grown to become the UK’s top number 1 north of England independent School for Academic Results - as rated by “The Times”. They have invested over £35m in new facilities and resources in the last 3 years alone! There boarding accommodation is considered by many to be the most superior in the whole of UK/Europe with 6th Form students (Years 12 and 13) having their own air-conditioned apartments complete with bathrooms, min kitchens, wifi, plasma Tv’s, direct dial telephones etc.

Not surprising therefore their number have double in the last 4 years. This is a very friendly, popular and highly successful College which now not only runs a wide range of GCSE’s and a-Levels but also the International Baccaluareate and other vocational Courses.

Their day fees are the lowest in the regional but their boarding fees are quite high because they are over subscribed and there are waiting lists to get in on the boarding side. Many influentuial parents send their children to this school.

Bill Buckley went to Millbrook School, in Millbrook, NY.

Interesting, swot. So QE is sort of like Le Rosey?
