@Iamquiteloud I got essay coaching as well.
I’m still rather confused.
It says that there’s this “national conference” at Stanford… but there isn’t anything special about this.
The conference itself is free, I understand, but travel and accommodations you have to pay yourself? What is the point of assisting us financially-strapped students when they make us pay all expenses to attend an conference centered around advertising Questbridge?
Does anyone know the actual benefits of the college-prep scholarship?
I got rejected with a 3.8 and top 10% my friend got in with a 3.5 and top 25%!
@biobabe I had a 3.7 as well . Not a high family income either. But I think I was my essay
@tealpanda I though my essay was superb, I had my english teacher who was an author proofreed it. I think it was my income being too high
I was put on the waitlist for the national conference and I was going to join the waitlist but I do not have the money to take that trip at all. I guess I should wait and hope to be accepted for campus visits?
Also I got essay coaching… does that mean my essay was good and they saw potential or bad and they wanted to fix it lol
If you signed up for the SAT prep, then I guess that’s a benefit.
I got in !

Got in also! I got the Stanford trip (and a grant), test prep, and a nomination for summer visits or programs. I’m kinda bummed though because I’ll be in France the day of the Stanford conference…Do they give your travel grant to other people if you can’t go?
I need to figure out a way to pay for the Stanford flight. I’ll ask my college/scholarship advisor soon.
I got in too! But I was invited to the Yale conference. I also got a nomination for a school visit and free test prep. Can someone explain why we get different awards?
It doesn’t say that they have to, but most hotels are going to require you to be over 18 to get a room.
Hey guys! Did anybody here get accepted into a summer program? If so, which one? Anyone going to the one in UPENN?
Didn’t get a summer program from QB or NYC award
Anyone who’s a Fein Fellow hear from them yet?
NCM application opened so early this year!
So it begins…
@Samantha3 Where’d you find the National College Match application?
@partynextdoor it opened up for CPS recipients. If you were one, then the notification probably came in the email.
@anitomy Oh, I didn’t apply for the CPS.
Woops nevermind, found it, thanks. Also, I attend a private school on a merit scholarship, not because my mom can afford it. Still, will the fact that I attend a private school disqualify me?
