Is anyone here a Questridge scholar that went to Scripps? I don’t know if I should apply and I wnat to know if anyone has regretted it. For everyone else out there: what is the best and worst thing about Scripps?

I can’t help you with the first part of your question, but as for the second:

Best: General campus life (dorms, food, campus), consortium.
Worst: Surrounding (non-Claremont) area (which does have definite benefits, but overall is not the best), sometimes the administration (there can be a surprising amount of bureaucracy for such a small school, but it’s a relative thing), crowded dining hall.

Overall, I love it. I chose it over USC and Berkeley and would do the same again. If you have any more specific questions, don’t hesitate to ask (warning: this particular board can be slow).

I was at Scripps yesterday for an interview and tour (bothw ent amazingly well). The tour was great but… were are all your classrooms!!! I saw the library, dorms, cafeteria, the Mottley, the Keck science labs, the psych/art buildings, but where are the other classrooms? Please tell me there are more.

Scripps has 2 main classroom buildings (yep, that’s it). Those are Balch (the building with the admissions office…most of the 2nd floor is clasrooms, and that building is much larger than it looks) and Humanities (big building in the middle of campus, between the residential end and the Motley area). There are separate buildings for studio art, music, lab sciences, and psych, plus a few classrooms in Steele (next to the art building, holds the big computer lab). There are also numerous lecture and recital halls.

I know it’s not many, but the buildings are large and it’s all we need Glad you enjoyed the tour!
