My heart dropped for a bit after reading murkywater’s post, but now, I don’t see his/her story as credible and viable, especially after reading GA2012MOM’s post!~

My heart dropped for a bit after reading murkywater’s post, but now, I don’t see his/her story as credible and viable, especially after reading GA2012MOM’s post!~

:)

Well I think it is - over on Facebook one finalist has been called so its legit. Besides I found out about QB finalist before official notification - remember GA2012MOM lol!!! But maybe it depends on the college.

Well my question is who is contacting the person, the college or questbridge. What college contacted that facebook kid?

I checked FB, and Brittney says that she got “the call” informing her that she got matched with Trinity College.

Out of curiosity, I called QB, and got this recording, “Finalists will be notified about their match status BY EMAIL by Friday 5:00 PM.”

Likewise, speaking directly with a QB representative, she told me,
“No one’s been notified of Match status. That’s not happening until tomorrow (Friday).”

I don’t know… 25 HOURS until the legit results come out~

If you look back at lintu’s post #989, she said a few got early phone calls last year, but it sounds like she didn’t get hers until the expected date between 2:00 and 3:00 California time. All of you should be so proud of all the work you already put into this, and there is always RD!

So QB is not making phone calls, and some partner colleges are calling those students they match.

looks like it for at least one of the colleges

I don’t know why everyone jumped on my post for being illegitimate. He was matched, and he did receive a phonecall. There have been instances of some individuals getting phonecalls earlier than the notification date.

I would really like it if everyone would remain civil here, and respectful. No need to jump on anyone for providing “illegitimate” information. Relax, it’s a scholarship.

Good luck to everyone.

Sorry muckywater but I’m just a bit anxious and I thinK I’m pretty much talking for everyone when I say that. Good Luck everyone and less than 20 hours or so, it all be over. :)

Also Brittney says that Questbridge called her - oh well at least I know I can go to University of Michigan ( : with tons of loans lol!

I hope I can post this link to a great article about QB.
[Matching Top Colleges, Low-Income Students - WSJ.com](http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119509033710893611.html?mod=googlenews_wsj)

I really like the graph. It gives me hope that there is a good chace of being
accepted in the RD round. Also, the graph only shows 8 partner schools and there are 20 now so the admits should go up.

Just trying to pass the time. haha Good Luck everyone!

My heart is beating so fast. I know it’s not for another 22 hours, but the anticipation is killing me. I hope all the schools this year match more students than in years past. And good luck to everyone!

Yes, I hope to be mached with Rice. If not, I will apply reg.

karagon7, for Rice regular, do we have to submit a supplement to the Questbridge application?

hey murkywater,

May I ask where your friend was matched to? Is it one of the PYS?

OMG…I wasn’t online for awhile and when i saw that that one girl got a call, my heart was beating soooo fast. Good luck everyone, hopefully everyone on CC gets matched :D

Can anyone else here really stand the excitement. I couldn’t even sleep all night.

I’m staying optimistic but realistic. Not to slur any racial conventions, but notably, the majority of last year’s recipients were either African American, Hispanic, or white. I’ve never been more proud to be Asian…The last I can think of is probably whilst reading about the Japanese internment camps or the Chinese Exclusion Act…
And the ones that were Asian most likely had to earn their placement with scores and a GPA that were in the top 25th percentile. It’s really great to be Asian and applying to college.

I’m so excited for you guys and wish you the best of luck!

Well, there were quite a few Asians that got accepted to Princeton, especially.
