Questbridge Scholarship - 2008

a finalist (: grads to everyone else!
i hadda 50 50 chance.

now i have a 11% of becoming a scholar x_x idk…i kinda doubt my chances. still, how siiiick would it be to get this. dang.

but i guess now i gotta do some work… but the point of this message was to ask:

um. where can I find my top 8 college picks??? I forgot my top. lol i didn’t want to do anything with QB until i knew if i was a finalist or not

You do realize that we only have just over a week left to get everything sent off right?

T_T i didn’t understand that until now. I thought the QB was the main application, didn’t know you had to fill out a whole other app…

I was in a rush to do QB cause I just found out about it right before the deadline. Then I got incredibly busy with school and xc. guhhh…i hate myself.

Hey to all of you NON-FINALISTS, if you have a Facebook, join this group: Login | Facebook.

Because we are amazing to have gone through the process! And to just see where we all get in, regardless of whether or not we made finalist.

And invite others!

If I am a finalist, are the colleges going to give me a full ride for sure? reguardless of assets??? my family income this year is about 36,000, but savings we have 150,000. last year income was 49000…

I’m sort of facing the same questions because I have a decent amount in assets. From what I can tell, your family may have to contribute some money towards your education, but considering how much regular tuition costs, even 1000 dollars toward a 50,000 dollar education is awesome. (Cheaper than most community schools.)

so. i have never posted before but during the whole match process you guys have really kept me inspired and in high spirits even when I didnt get into Stanford, my dream school. Yesterday I found out that one of the girls at my school got in. Its hard because you know tha character of some of these people and it just doesnt make sense, coupled with the fact that she is ranked 12 in the class while im 2nd and her scores were quite low. I don’t want to be considered an envious litte brat, but im finding it hard to be positive after working so hard for something. losing faith guys.

Does Kyledavid post anymore?

I was hoping you guys could tell me whether I have any chance at all of qualifying. I have very good ECs and grades and live most of the time with one parent who makes ~40,000/year. But both my parents have law degrees and my other parent also has a degree in social work.

Hey I have a question for all you who are going through this process this year.
I’m doing college match next year, and was wondering whether the 8-college limit applies to the regular questbridge decision, or if it only applies to the early action program.

NYSpinnerDan, the 8 college limit is for the “match round” only. You can opt for more (or less) schools to have your application forwarded to for the RD round.

This is a VERY old thread btw, it was for the class of '08.

^ The new thread comes next week. I’ll be glad to put up the thread-opening post, and all of you are welcome to participate.

Omggg the application is upp
