Question about accountant

With a bachelor’s degree in industrial or electrical engineering + MBA, is it possible to take the CPA exam and become an accountant? Is this common with an engineering degree?

It might be possible if your MBA focus is in accounting, the education requirements will vary from state to state. You need certain accounting courses.

Thanks, Dawgie. Yeah, I did notice that the requirement for credits differs.

Is it common for one to become an accountant with a BS in engineering?

I have never met anyone with an (accounting + engineering) degree.

But why do you even ask that question? You should follow your interests instead of looking at the crowd.

Just my thoughts.

I wouldn’t say its common, both are very specialized fields. You take one or the other as your base.
