I’m currently a UCSD student (just finished third year) but because of family and personal circumstances, I had to leave the school and move closer to home. I was originally supposed to go to Santa Clara University (I already sent in my deposit) but found out that I could not finance the tuition and my parents changed their minds and did not want to support me if I went there. I couldn’t get a loan on my own so I had to look elsewhere to finish school.

This all happened fairly recently, and once I found out I couldn’t go to SCU anymore, I contacted UC Davis about an inter-UC transfer. The representative told me to file an appeal for fall admission. That was sent two days later.

My statistics are not stellar (2.9 cumulative GPA) and I know that it is extremely late for an appeal. Does anyone have words of advice to help me out? Anyone go through a similar situation?
