Does anyone know whether admissions this fall will be tougher due to UMich eliminating rolling admissions? I’m really hoping not…UMich is one of my top choices…

Admissions will continue to get tougher as long as the applicant expends. 21,000 applied in 2003, 23,000 in 2004, 25,000 in 2006 and 27,000 this year. If 30,000 apply next year (my own personal prediction), rolling admissions or not, getting in is going to get harder.

To answer your question though, if Michigan were to switch to regular admisions (I haven’t seen anything that confirms it), I would guess that it would be tougher on the borderline cases.

Haven’t there been direct quotes from admissions counselors saying that the admissions policy will be changing?

that’s what i’ve heard
