Question About AP Physics B Test

Does the B test include torque and angular momentum? My PR book for the B and C tests says it’s only on the C test, but other books say it’s also on the B exam.

torque and angular momentum is only on C exam

whoah really?? That’s super annoying. Our teacher spent a good month with us on Torque and angular momentum for the b examm…

check on the collegeboard site?

Angular momentum is not on it, but torque is. I have seen many problems on past exams that involve balancing weights on a board…one actually involved a hanging fish.

Torque is IN Physics B from what I know. We spent time going over it and I believe the AP objectives say rotational equilibrium and such are in the course. And, you need torque for a lot of equilibrium questions.

Angular momentum is not on it but you need to know angular velocity and displacements apparently.

Yes, Stranger is right, you need torque, but most questions aren’t that complicated… balancing boards is pretty straight forward. You don’t need the angular kinematics like wf = wi + alphat. But you do need to know the definition of angular velocity v = rw.
