Anybody applying to applied physics programs? If so, which schools are you applying to? I think applied physics involves many distinct subfields. I see every school offers biophysics as an option in applied physics. Many schools also offer biophysics as separate programs. So what is the difference between the biophysics program and the biophysics option in applied physics programs? Is it harder to get in compared to engineering programs? Because most of the applicants I have talked to that got into applied physics programs have gotten into excellent engineering schools.
