<p>When I did precisely that, they calculated separate GPAs for each school.</p>
<p>Both are used.</p>
<p>they are not necessarily averaged unless the course credits were exactly the same at each school. For example, if you took 20 units each semester in Year 1, and then 15 units/semester for the next three years, you would have 70 units at College 1 and 60 units at college 2. The gpa would be weighted towards college 1.</p>
