Question about AS-T degree and Transfer applications

Currently a sophomore planning to transfer in Fall 2025 and I am planning to apply to Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State LA and Cal State Chico for Computer Information Systems, I am earning a AS-T in Business Administration in order to increase my chances of getting in to Cal Poly Pomona (they offer CIS but under the business admin major) and I have CSUC and CSULA as my two safeties.

I was wondering if me applying to transfer with an AS-T degree in an unrelated major would affect my ability to be admitted to CSULA (local transfer) and CSUC, even if I fulfilled all the required transfer/GPA requirements, if so would it be better for me to switch to a normal Business Admin associates degree?

Do you have a contact for transfer admission at each of those schools? What about your transfer counselor at your community college? They usually can give you the best chances for transfer and can contact admissions on their end.
