<p>If you are nationally recognized in a sport, but are still not good enough to be recruited, how good is being nationally recognized as an EC?</p>
<p>In my case, I play volleyball and I made it into a program where there are tryouts nationwide and only the top 40 players make it in the country. Unfortunately, I will not be recruited. There are not very many men’s volleyball scholarships, and college coaches tend to not look at any player below 6’ 2’’ (playing my position). I am 5’ 9’', a good half foot shorter than this. </p>
<p>Will colleges still consider this a ‘great’ EC even though it is an athletic EC and I am not going to be recruited in the sport?
Has anyone on this site been in my situation?</p>
