Hey guys – from the tests from like 1999 and before…[free response portion] it seems like you use a calculator for all of it…whereas tests from 2000 and up have 3 free response CALC OK and 3 free response NO CALCULATOR WATSOEVER…is this true?

I think it’s kind of the opposite. I think up until 1998 there was no calculator use whatsoever, but since then there are calculator and non-calculator portions, because calculator use is regarded as important in Calculus.

I can’t say this with absolute certainty, though…

AB has 3 calc & 3 non-calc FRQ’s…I would assume BC is the same but it might not be.

Sorry if that doesn’t help.

no… they used to have all calculator, then started to have noncalc portion… (true for chem too, i believe)

I’m taking the exam too. Like you said, you are allowed to use a calculator for three of the questions only. It was changed. Sucks :-

yeah, first 3 with calculator, second 3 without calculator. its not that bad.

they switched calc. policy a lot…
it was different every year many times…

in the aspects of:
-Graphic or Scientific
-How many calc. Sections??
-etc.
