Question about bedding and decorating.

We decided to go with a duvet and thinner down alternative insert. I’d like to put some sort of throw on the end for not only decoration, but when we need a little extra warmth.

We are doing a white duvet, so the extra color will be nice. What size do I get for a king bed? A full size? Don’t want it as big as the comforter. If any of you do that, what kind do you use? A quilt, throw? I see a bunch of faux fur throws out there, yet that might actually be too hot.

I’m probably making this harder than it needs to be, but I want it to look pretty, functional and not too much work making it up everyday.

I would add a cashmere or wool throw.

I’m redoing my bedding as well, and this is a great idea. I bought 2 new white/gray print sheet sets and will sew the two tops into a duvet cover. I need to find a tailored grey bedskirt (linen look?). But adding a casual throw of a gray cashmere across the corner of the bed sounds great. Thanks for the idea.

I keep a throw folded at the end of our bed. H would never grab it so it’s mostly for me if I want it. It’s just a standard throw from Home Goods - they have SO many - but our bed is queen. Most nights it doesn’t even get that messed up and we just straighten it up when whoever makes the bed.
