DS plans to mail a thank you note to a recruiter who has gone above and beyond on his behalf. Should it be handwritten on a tasteful note card (e.g., Cranes) or typed on a sheet of computer paper with a handwritten signature?

I think the handwritten note is nicer, but, frankly, given my sons’ handwriting (schools around here no longer focus on cursive), the typed notes looked better. The key is to make the note personal, no matter which he chooses.

Thanks for taking time to post, cleveland.

Typed and signed is fine. Your son is a very thoughtful young man, worrywart!

If the thank you note is typed on a standard computer sheet, it will look too small for the size of the paper.

Typed on a note-sized sheet would work, or handwritten on a note card would seem to be most fitting.

Thanks, all. Appreciate your comment, BB.
