According to the information i received from WashU, I am required to take the Calc Placement Test if I want to major in economics, math, and science.

I do not intend in majoring them, but will take some classes related to econ.
I am majoring in international studies.

Should I take the test?

The test is a placement test. If by chance, “down the road” you want to change your major, maybe you should take the test (?). Many students change their minds about majors by the end of their sophomore year.

on a similar note, I just took the spanish placement test and I read today that it is valid for one academic year. Does that mean if I want to start a spanish class in fall 2008, I have to retake the placement?
