question about class schedule

Hey guys. My prelimary course schedule for autumn quarter will be spanish 2, IHUM, and econ 1a. However, econ 1a is taught from 10-1050 and my first choice IHUM (freedom, equality, difference) is taught from 10-1050 also. Does this mean I wont be able to take econ 1a? Is there really only one econ 1a class? I want to major in econ, but I really love my first choice IHUM selection. So, assuming that I get my first choice IHUM selection, I will be in a bind. Does anyone know if econ 1b is offered in the autumn quarter? ugh.

It appears there is only one econ 1a class. Econ 1b is not offered in the fall because econ 1a has never been offered before. You could take a different IHUM. Visions of Mortality is probably one of the better IHUMs and meets 11-1150. Or you could take an intro sem instead of econ. Or you could take a more advanced econ class if you’ve had econ before.

calm down n1bigdude we don’t know what IHUM we’re getting, wait and see

^yeah, just wait.

if you do get your 1st choice, then i suggest you change your IHUM. seriously, i think econ is more important than IHUM. visions of mortality is better anyway. but i’d say schedule your IHUM around classes you need for your major or really need to take, not vice versa.

You can always petition to change your IHUM assignment, so don’t fret too much about it (unless you really want to take that particular IHUM).
