question about dean's list and presidential scholars

Does NYU create a dean’s list every semester or only after one whole year? How do they notify you of your achievement? Also, if you are accepted for the presidential scholars program, do you have to attend all the meetings and or trips?

Every semester; they usually send you a letter but it’s also on your transcript if you care; and if I remember what my friends said, the meetings are mandatory, but the trips are not (but the trips are the whole point, right? Well, aside from the scholarship).

If its every semester then that’s rather odd. I got a 3.675 avg last semester and i didn’t get any letter or anything.

I was a presidential scholar last year, but I didn’t receive notice of a dean’s list. With regards to the scholar’s program, the meetings are normally mandatory to maintain membership, but last semester my scholars group was allowed two absences (out of 6). The trips are extremely cheap and worthwhile for the experience. I would highly recommend going to the trips, but they are not mandatory.

Dean’s List
(for students who have achieved an average of 3.65 or higher for that academic year (September - May) in at least 28 graded points) <-from the CAS website.

Sorry, Stern’s dean’s list is compiled every semester, which is why I gave you the wrong info.
