When I was filling out my U.C. admission, there was a page that asked me about “Scholarship Opportunities.” I was wondering which one would be the best choice for applying to any of the U.C’s. Does ELC students students already have scholarships for UCD, UCSB, etc…? Is picking scholarships based on my grades in high school? Would picking scholarships on my U.C. application affect my chances of getting in to my choices of U.C. because what happens if I didn’t get the scholarship or the choice of scholarship I chose wasn’t the best one? I’m also curious if anyone recieved a letter from UCI in the mail?

It does help somewhat in getting scholarships (it shows that you’re at the top of your class).

What do you mean? They choose you for scholarships based on many factors. You choose which scholarships might apply to you.

No.

You shouldn’t worry about that. If you didn’t get the scholarship, you simply didn’t get it – perhaps you weren’t qualified, or they saw you didn’t have the need. Don’t worry about “choosing the best one” – just choose the categories that apply to you. They will do the rest.
