Question about electronic record, SAT and SAT2 scores

My son applied early to Ga Tech and reviewed his record today to make sure his October SAT scores arrived. They did but he was concerned to see only 2 of the SAT2 test scores from June show up in his record. He also has SAT scores from last January so my guess is that the electronic record he can see only shows 8 scores (3 SAT scores from January, 3 SAT scores from October and 2 SAT2 scores from June) and since SAT2s are not required, the system defaults to showing SAT scores over SAT2 scores. He is still concerned that his Bio(M) score doesn’t appear in his record so I told him I’d check and see if anyone knows why this is.

Thanks for any info!

Did he self-report the score on the application, just like you self-report your grades? I think GT relies on the student to tell the truth and keep the process simple. You self report your AP scores and IB scores, too. So if he told them the score, I think that is enough. SAT subject test are an optional factor in admissions.

I checked with him and he pulled up his application. There was no place to self-report SAT2 or AP scores, just SAT scores and grades. He was able to indicate which of his classes were AP classes. He also found a friend that applied and her record shows nine scores. All scores were reported together at the same time so it seems odd that just one score is missing. He understands that they are optional but he’s hoping to qualify for consideration for the Presidential Scholarship and wants to make sure they have a complete record.

I would call admissions then and ask.
