Say for example I went to Bucknell which is known in the northeast. If I went to USC Marshall for grad school, would I still get a good job in southern California? Basically, I want to get good connections and a great job living in SoCal but I don’t want to go that far from home for undergrad because of all the travel expenses and everything. (I live in NJ btw)
Employers do not favor regional grads as much as you fear. Bucknell grads get hired in CA, Pomona grads get hired in Boston.
However, they often recruit more locally and regionally due to convenience, or just knowing that the local and regional schools exist.
OP is asking if Bucknell would poison SoCal hiring AFTER a USC degree. Answer = no.
Graduating from Bucknell will not hurt your prospects if you went to SoCal.
