Question about essay type

<p>A lot people write some personal experience or their family as essay.
It’s more narrative</p>

<p>However for me ,I 'd like to write something like comments about national issue. just like a journalist. . I would prefer to write that .</p>

<p>But my teacher said it’s too " outstanding…" too unique sometimes is not a good thing.</p>

<p>and I need some help. Is it OK to write a comment as essay?</p>

<p>Yes, but remember, the admissions committee are more interested in you! THat’s why one of the questions on the common ap are an issue of importance and its impact on you. So if you do write a comment as an essay, make sure you write about how it effects you or changed you as a person etc. etc.</p>
