Question about essays

Does anyone know if it’s okay to discuss religion in an essay?

I was always told not to discuss religion, politics, or anything too controversial in an admission essay. I don’t know what your essay is about but it might be okay if you keep it very broad and general. If it is not something that is universally accepted then I probably wouldn’t chance writing about it.

you can make a great essay out of anything

you can also make a really bad essay out of anything

well, the topic ask to write about an idea you find interesting and i was going to write about how physics and buddhism are related by the 1st law of thermodynamics: energy can neither be created nor destroyed. is that ok?

what i think
if you are applying to an engineering college that would be great
if you’re not, you’d probably want to make it humerous unless you feel like you can make a deep spiritual impact

I also agree with fae
