<p>I was admitted as a transfer student to the general college. although i’m already on my way to completing a full year of college, I was admitted as a freshman (im guessing its because not all of my credits transferred and i dont have enough to be sophomore-standing). </p>
<p>Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had a clear idea of what the difference between the two colleges is. CAS and general college seem like the same thing, so I am pretty confused. I’ve heard that general college is usually something ALL UNC students have to go through their freshmen year. However, i may be wrong.</p>
