Question about going over Max Unit

Sorry, this has probably been posted many times before, but I want to know.
I’ll finish all my major prep + IGETC and a lot of various classes that have nothing to do with major/IGETC (all for letter grades). What happens to those classes?

Context: I’m a physics major, who finished all of Math and Physics with classes that aren’t part of my major prep like Chemistry I, II, Ochem, Geology, Astronomy, Music Theory, Computer Science (C++/Python). Since there’s a capacity to the amount of classes I can transfer over, if I choose to transfer something like Music Theory over a GE class, does that mean I need to retake the GE class in my school of choice? Also, does the school recognize that I’ve taken these classes if I want to double major, even though I may not choose them as classes that I want to transfer over.

You don’t choose what classes “transfer over,” they’ll all transfer.

You can take as many classes as you want at a CCC and all will help you. The real issue is with upper level college courses.

They’ll give you credit up to something like 70 units, but you’ll get subject credit for everything you take.
