I’m a freshman and a private school and for the first semester my GPA will be around a 3.3-3.5. I’m wondering how much this will affect college decisions. I plan on getting a 3.9 or 4.0 for sophomore, junior, and senior year. I’m involved in a lot of clubs and sports.

if thats your weighted…then its not gonna look great at competitive schools, however if that is your UW then its looking great so far (just keep your promise of 3.9-4.0 in junior year)

My grades first marking period were:
French II - 88
Photography-92
History-87
Geometry - 68
Spanish I - 85
Bio - 87
English - 87

So my GPA for the first MP is around a 3.0, and I’m hoping to do well on the exams which count for 20% of my grades, and I have about a B+ average for the second marking period so far.

My grades in the first marking period were…

Geometry - 68%

English 2 - 40%(because I didn’t turn in a project)

German 1 - 69%

IPC - 95%

World History - 90%

I dont know what my GPA was, but I know it was low. The reason for my poor grades is clearly my fault, and I’m working on bringing my grades up to all B’s, maybe A’s.

I think you have what it takes to get a 4.0 GPA if you never give up on it. There’re a lot of colleges that are looking for 3.0 - 4.0; Harvard, yale, usc, etc. All of the private schools
