in the application, there is a section that we have to write special circumstances.

If you have experienced any special circumstances that may have affected your academic progress or opportunities to engage or excel in activities, please provide details to enable appropriate consideration.

What does this mean?

Does it mean like if you had bad grades for certain period, explain why you got the bad grades?

i guess… i always just really want to tell them some random story there, but they’d probably chuck my application if i did:)… probably any of the whole “divorce, death in family, supported family, was abused” type stuff…

What about living 14 miles from the school, 2 siblings in schools in opposite directions, mom in nursing school, and no school activity busses? This made EC’s next to impossible because of a lack of transportation until the acquisition of a license/car in junior year. Is this something reportable or does it just sound like lame whining?
