On the website it says that at least 6 classes must be taken at the 200 lvl or above.
But on the PDF format it says at least 6 classes must be taken at the 300 lvl or above.

Which is correct?

I don’t believe any of the regular posters on the Emory sub forum are history majors. Contact the departmental head, tell him you’re transferring this spring, and ask which one is correct.

Actually, the website says that you must take 6 “above” 200-level and the pamphlet says that they must be “at or above” 300-level. The two agree w/each other. You need to take 6 classes 300 level or higher. And don’t worry about the difficulty. 300-levels in history are usually very interesting and rarely that difficult (I took 2 or 3 myself). The colloquia courses may be the most rigorous, but the topics appear awesome. I recommend the history major at Emory. My experiences in the courses were all very good to excellent (I should have minored in it or polisci). This is a good choice. Political science courses were also very good though I think I prefer the teaching in the history dept. a little more. It has awesome teachers like Patrick Allitt, Matthew Payne, Kenneth Stein, and Deborah Lipstadt .
