Question about Honors Math

Hi - I’m wondering if someone can confirm if my understanding is correct:

• to be part of UMich’s Honor Math Program, I can apply and be admitted as a regular student, and then just apply to be part of the Honors Math track (here: Honors Mathematics | U-M LSA Mathematics)
• In other words, I don’t need to apply to LSA Honors Program in order to be part of Math Honors (here: LSA Honors Program | U-M LSA )

Is this correct? Just want to make sure I understand it correctly.

From my knowledge you need to be approved to take the math class outside of the honors program.

I would just call and ask for sure. FYI-math at Michigan University is very hard no matter how talented your student is. They pride themselves on this. Talk to the school and advisors first.
