Question about likelihood of acceptance.

I’m seventeen years old, a little more than halfway through my junior year. I don’t really know what I want to do with my life, but I love to write and play music. I come home every day and spend hours writing and playing. I play guitar and bass and keyboard (i know, not very original). What I really want to do is compose music, jingles for advertisements, anything to do with music. However, I really don’t have much experience, less than two years. I really want to go to Berklee or a similar school, but I don’t know how good my chances are. Anyone want to give me insight on my aspiration here?

To be honest, you may have a chance at Berkley if you can get alot of experience and have a great audition. They have awesome programs but also have a considerable proportion of people who don’t actually finish school there. However, there are plenty of schools where you can get great experience with music and meet other incredibly talented people. Schools like Ithaca College in NY and a lot of other LACs. Ithaca also has a strong communications reputation so if you want to get into the commercial side of music that could be very beneficial to you.
