Is it possible for a student on track to CAS to graduate from LSP early if they take additional classes?

Also, I’m interested in getting certified to be an ultrasound technician as a way to pay for graduate school. Is there a way that I could do this while at NYU (do they offer the appropriate classes, certification, etc. or would they be able to direct me to where I could take these classes)? I called the LSP advising department, but they never called me back.

Most reputable programs to become certified as an ultrasound tech take from 18 months for an A.A.S. degree to 4 years for a B.S. and generally require a full-time externship as part of the curriculum. Unless you are already a certified radiography technologist looking to add ultrasound technology to your resume, training to become a certified ultrasound tech is not something you can do in your spare time while working toward a degree at NYU.
