<p>Classes begin on January 9th, so is it okay if I get back to Durham on January 8th? Or do we have to return sooner?</p>

<p>You just need to be back for your first class. The only real problem with showing up the day before class starts is if something happens to delay your travel. Also some people like a couple of days to get settled in again before starting the grind once more. (buy textbooks, supplies ect)</p>
