Question about "Pre-Application"

I am applying ED to Princeton, but I want to apply to Dartmouth RD if I get deferred or rejected. The Dartmouth supplement, the “pre-application”, says to send it in “as soon as you decide to apply”, with the check. I want to wait until my Princeton decision comes until I send out RD apps, because there is a chance I could save almost $400 with all my RD schools. So, do I need to send out my Dartmouth Pre-Application now, or does it not matter?

Thanks!

save yourself some money. it won’t matter.

You can send the pre-application, all they wil do is open a file for you… As a matter of fact, you should have your other applications ready just in case. At best, you will have a great shredding party if the worse happens atleast you will not have to worry about completing them when your head and your heart may not be in it.

You don’t have to send in your fees until you are sure that you will be applying RD (after mid december)

Yea sybbie I was planning to have a pile completed apps on my desk ready to throw in the mail if I don’t get in. So you are saying I can send in the preapplication without the fee (even though it says to attach it?).

I think it says that you can pay the fee online doesn’t it?

Yes, you can just send the fee when the application is due.
