Question about scheduling classes

So my financial aid was reduced to 0 after I indicated on my application that I was going to be living at home/commuting as opposed to dorming…I brought this up to my parents and they said they would rather have me schedule classes on Mon/Wed/Fri.

Will this hinder my social experiences/getting to know people as I am only going to be at UCI only 3 days out of the week? Also, what are other pros/cons to going to school three days as opposed to five days?

Sucks about the finaid. I say it’s a sign. :P

And I think if you just join a whole butt load of clubs, It’ll definitely do something for your social life. It won’t be impossible to make friends if you don’t dorm. You just gotta put yourself out there. :)

And chillllll with us on weeknights~ Good thing about OA, you immediately know at least 20 other kids at I. Haha.

Classes are not all important, as what satoriie says, join ECs, clubs, socialize new friends, etc, when you have extra time like on tues and thurs. Make your money worth other wise you’re paying UCI just for the education.

You’ll be fine, there are a ton of people who aren’t there on tuesdays or thursday or fridays/mondays or something. dorming however is an extremely enriching experience but I think your big problem is going to be getting the classes you need on Mon/Wed/Fri because as a freshman you are at the whim of luck and odd scheduling.

yeah but more people want t th classes so that will help you out. im a commuter too and just join clubs and do stuff on campus to meet people. its hard meeting people in lectures but easier in your discussions, labs, and writing classes
