I received my acceptance letter (dated February 2, 2007) and I have yet to receive any scholarship offers. I’m just wondering why they would bother to send me an acceptance so early if I wasn’t a scholarship candidate. I am a national merit finalist, so maybe that’s it? any input would greatly be appreciated! thank you!

edit: I applied as a mechanical engineering major, and got in as a mechanical engineering major (viterbi) if that makes a difference.

That’s really weird… I was accepted with the Feb 2nd letters, and I received a NMF letter the week after. It told me I was in the running for that and I only had to mark them as my first choice to obtain the NMF scholarship.

It also said that Finalists who don’t receive the additional $2,500 scholarship from National Merit or the corporation scholarship, USC will give an additional $1,000 per year.

You are the reason I am finding this so confusing actually. You would think that they’d send the NMF information to all the finalists of none of them.
