Question about side projects for CS majors

Hi,
I’m a sophomore CS major at UC Berkeley. I’ve never did a side project in college but did 2 java games in high school, including a bow and arrow hunting game which implemented alot of math and physics. The other game is alot simpler, bassically a replilca of space invaders Besides that, I also included two of my most important, at least IMO, CS class projects in my resume.

  1. Should I keep my high school side projects on my resume?
  2. If I take them off, should I add in more class projects? I have a few friends who recommend against adding class projects since they’re too cliche and everyone did them.
  3. Or perhaps I cut out the distinction between side projects and class projects, list them as all just “projects”. I"ll still say I did those side projects in high school but with no clear distinctions, perhaps employers won’t ask why I didn’t do more side projects in college.
I’m also building an android tetris app ATM, so I’ll definitely put that on my resume in the coming weeks once I’m done with that.

You should include your class projects, since you need something to talk about during an interview.

You are still a college student, so you do not have much experience.

As for the games you made in H.S…Take those off. They are simple and don’t do much for you. You can write a small note saying “created various small project games.” -that’s it.
