They give 5% back on “qualifying purchases”.
If you use this card do you find that most of your purchases qualify?
Thanks!
Isn’t the 5% just on Amazon purchases?
Yes, I think that is right. But on Amazon “qualifying purchases” only.
I think this means that if the item is not sold by Amazon and is sold by one
of their affiliates that the 5% does not apply.
Just trying to get clarification.
We ordered 167 items last year…
From Amazon’s web site:
Pretty much everything purchased via the amazon.com portal is covered, even if it is a third-party.
I make way too many purchases on Amazon (including 3rd party) and never encountered something that wasn’t 5% back.
I use it for all my Amazon purchases and nothing else, and as far as I can tell, I’m getting 5% back on everything. I’ve never actually done the math, but there is a rebate with every credit statement, and it is more than enough to pay for my Amazon prime membership. I also like having the card because it makes it easy to track my Amazon purchases as well.
Thanks! I just want to be sure I understand.
No foreign exchange fees, so the Amazon card was my main card to use on a recent trip to Israel and France.
Other than that, I have a CC which gives me 2% back on everything, so I use that for everything else.
