Question about "the box"

For a transfer applicant, wondering what kinds of things people put in the small box that asks for “something that appeals to you.” Do people limit themselves to the box size? Use it as a “teaser” and refer to a longer essay/item/visual, etc?

TIA.

IMHO, and from all that I have gathered from this site…
the box needs to show another facet of who the applicant is, that may not be coming through on the traditional essay. I know it can be larger than the box if necessary, but need not be. It seems like an additional opportunity to personalize the application, let the readers have another insight into the person behind the statistics. Anything the applicant feels will compliment the application and reveal the applicant from another persepctive is a good thing. Not something to stress over, but an area to be used to add that one thing you wish you could tell them, but they don’t ask for. Good Luck!

Thanks, NYCMom.

I was wondering if there had been other threads discussing this, but hadn’t found any. By any chance, can you link to one?
