<p>I just have a quick question about what comes in the dorms. I’m guessin the matress, computer desk, and maybe some sort of closet will already be there. Is there anything else that comes in the room (I’m stayin in PAR-Carr) so I don’t buy something that is already there.</p>
<p>errr. yep thats’ basically all that comes w/ the dorm. the mailing that you got on University housing like a month ago has a good check list of items you might need.</p>
<p>You get a bed, mattress, desk, chair and closet, blinds for the windows, and phone jack and a computer jack in the wall; no carpeting. Your room in PAR will have only one computer jack even though a double room (most dorms are like that). They supply, upon request, a mini-hub so you can connect two computers. Also, to connect to the computer jack you need a RJ 45 - RJ 11 cord rather than a normal ethernet cord which is RJ 45-45. However, they also supply that RJ 45-RJ 11 cord upon request (since it is almost impossible to find anywhere to buy one). They do not allow you to set up a wireless hub in the room so make sure you bring a long ethernet cord – at the beginning of the year, the computer police go around each dorm trying to see if anyone has set up a wireless and tell you to cease if you have.</p>
