Ok so I’m reading about admission essays and it suggested that I avoid cynicism.

For the umich essay about a national concern, I wrote about an issue with a type of prescription drug and how that’s an important concern to me.

I just need to know if thats being too cynical and if that’s too controversial.

cynicism…hmm…it depends which drug i guess, and id say that a medicine issue is definitely a viable national issue, right? Im not sure, I wrote mine about “Journalistic Integrity” which is a little out on a limb because its not a HUGE issue but I defended it, i think! lol

anyways, how long is yours? do you think its ok if mines like 540 words?

Yeah I think you’re fine. Mine was also 540 words. Gawd I feel kind of screwed here. I only have a week until school starts, and I’m still waiting for that spark of inspiration. My essay is way too average.

umichope, i can’t imagine you’re essay being too average. Mine was the most rote and boring essay you’ll ever read and I got in with lots of money.
