I’m trying to find out how the faculty is at USF’s business college. I’d like to know how well they teach and how they interact with students, are they just there for the research or do they actually care about there students. I’m also curious to know what kind of education I might expect there. Would a finance degree be worth it or just a waist of money.

As with any university, there are awesome faculty members and some who should go ahead and retire. The professors as a whole really are good. Some go out of their way to be available for questions and help…but you have to ask, they don’t beg you to come to office hours. Some have chat hours online at night, to help with homework. The business school offers a lot of programming outside of the classroom that helps with development and students are really encouraged to participate in organizations, workshops, special events, etc. The classes can be hard, but that is why we are here. Just avoid the professors who are ready to retire, especially in the management department.
