Question about the Supplement

So for Question 4 on the supplement (What do you wish you were better at being or doing?) would it look bad if I was brutally honest and wrote about something which the admissions people might look at and infer that it would impact me in a negative way when I go to college?
Also, How should I handle this question? Do I want to tailor my response in a way that shows I have made an effort to improve my weakness?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

It depends on the issue!
But in general, don’t let them infer something very negative; give them room for something good to grow out of a weakness.
I am definitely being frank for my answer to that question, but it’ll be on an issue that could be seen as both negative and positive. If you can frame/craft your answer in a way that shows potential for growth, or something that could be spun into a positive idea, that would be best. Think of it as illustrating a cloud, but also identifying a possible silver lining.
I hope that makes sense!
And overall, just remember, there aren’t really rules.

There aren’t really rules; however, you should never be doing anything on your application that leaves room for inferring anywhere…your application should be as thorough as possible.
