Question about this aplication essay question?

I’m applying to Schreyers Honors College and I’ve stumbled across an essay question that has me a little stumped. It says: if you were to develop an international version of Mt. Rushmore, which four faces (past or present) would you select and why?
I’ve got two sets and I have no idea which to pick. I’m thinking about writing both and picking the better one. I guess I’m a little confused about what an ‘international version of Mt. Rushmore’ would be. Is it a dedication to leaders or a memorial for great people? I’m torn between going with people like Gandhi and Mother Theresa or Catherine the great and Nelson Mandela. And advice? Thanks!

I think answering this question on your own is part of the task you’ve been assigned.

Doesn’t really matter. If you want to limit it to heads of state because that’s what’s on Mt. Rushmore, that’s fine. If you don’t, then that’s fine too.

Just make sure that you state the criteria by which you picked the four and why you chose those criteria as important.
