i applied to Case western reserve and they send out emails. the last one said that this year they have received more applications than ever before. my question is: does this help or hurt my chances of admission?

Well if they have a fixed number of students they can admit… it hurts your chances, at least statistically. How on earth could it help?

More students which equals more competitoin for a specific amount of spots, so if i was to take an ivy league conjecture, I would say it would increase your chances of admissions ten times fold, at least.

i was thinking maybe more students maybe they would stretch out the sat range a little bit… prolly not though
