On my transcript it says that I took European History I and II but it didn’t say “AP” right next to it, like every other AP class has. All of my friends who took European didn’t have “AP” on their transcript either. The counselor’s excuse was that they couldn’t fit it on their and refused to fix it.
Will colleges understand that I took AP European, or will they think I took a general history class?

The college is only going to know what your high school tells them. IF your school profile states that European History is an AP course and only given at the AP level then it should be no problem. However the GC should enclose a note with all tanscripts that Euro is an AP course.

Because this deals with the academic rigor of the courses that your schoo offers, it is in the best interest of all that the GC finds a way to correct the transcript. IF this is not something they want to straighten out you should get your parents and the parents of other juniors and seniors involved and escalate the issue.
